Your core banking system is 10 or 20 years old. It handles accounts, ledgers, and compliance reporting reliably. But it wasn’t built for dynamic pricing, real-time promotional offers, or self-serve product configuration.
The obvious answer is a core migration. But core migrations take two to five years, cost tens of millions, and carry enormous operational risk. For an institution with a lean IT team, it’s not a realistic option, at least not this year.
So the pricing limitations persist: new products launch slowly, promotions run by hand, and fee schedules stay rigid, with every workaround adding work for an already stretched team.
